Recent Headlines
Endorphins Running officially launches dedicated mobile app. Featuring city community groups, running leaderboard, group challenges, personalized training plans, and more.
I mentioned this last week and now the app is officially live to use. And I wanted to highlight this because I love Endorphins story. What started as group runs during Covid lockdowns 2 years ago, has now turned into the largest running community in the U.S. with a fully dedicated mobile app. Gonna be posting a full video feature on their story soon…
Promix Nutrition rolled out 2 new protein products. Including Cinnamon Swirl whey protein powder and Mexican Hot Chocolate protein puff bars.
Promix is one of the best supplement brands out there. The quality of the product, the team behind it, the strategy they have - all great. One of the things that stands out to me is how they continue to push the boundary on products. It’s not easy to make innovative and fun products, while also staying clean and natural. And they do it. Props to them.
2025 gym design trends highlighted by Chris Howell from SPX. Including turf strips being overdone, outdoor workouts areas on the rise, less machines with screens, high design being pushed, and more.
Hoka opens a new concept corner store. A pop up “Run Stop Corner Shop” in east London. Featuring an ATM that dispenses “Hokens” to purchase goods, an innovation zone called the “FlyLab”, running snacks, and interactive giveaways.
This is one of the coolest applications of a pop up shop I’ve ever seen. I love the concept. If you’ve ever trained for a long distance race, then you’ve been on a training run where you need to stop for something specific, but couldn’t… Are they gonna make money directly from this? Probably not. But this will lead to dividends in other ways. The content made around this, the brand awareness, the publicity, and more.
Nike announces the 2025 After Dark Tour. A women’s race series that will take place in 6 major cities including Sydney, Shanghai, Seoul, Mumbai, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. Aimed to be a holistic, community powered series to expand opportunities for women in running.
I wanted to highlight this because it’s a great example of community marketing and brand building. Tatum Brandt recently broke down this topic and it was spot on. Go check out her video on it. This Nike race series is not a 1 to 1 comparison, but it’s similar in vein.
